Day to Day
As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibilities revolve around identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with participant and partners to drive revenue growth for the company. Here are some typical job duties associated with the role:
- Identifying and Prospecting: Researching and identifying potential clients, markets, and business opportunities that align with the company’s objectives. This involves conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and evaluating competitors
- Lead Generation and Conversion: Generating leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms. Qualifying leads and converting them into opportunities for sales or partnerships.
- Client Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. Providing excellent customer service and acting as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Partnership Development: Identifying and establishing strategic partnerships with other companies or organizations to enhance the company’s offerings or expand its reach. Negotiating and finalizing partnership agreements and contracts.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Collaborating with the sales team to create and execute effective sales strategies, including pricing, proposals, and presentations. Meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
- Market Expansion: Evaluating potential markets and developing market entry strategies for new regions or segments. Conducting feasibility studies, analyzing market potential, and recommending expansion initiatives.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitoring and analyzing market trends, competitors’ activities, and industry developments. Identifying competitive advantages and adjusting business strategies accordingly.
- Proposal Development: Preparing and presenting business proposals, pitches, and presentations to potential clients or partners. Tailoring proposals to address client needs and effectively communicate the value proposition.
- Relationship Building: Building and maintaining a strong network of industry contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders. Participating in industry events, conferences, and associations to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Tracking and analyzing business development activities, sales metrics, and market trends. Generating regular reports and presenting findings to the management team. Forecasting future sales and revenue growth opportunities.
Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for a real “go getter” someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty while getting the office up and running with the processes and procedures. Ideally you will have NDIS knowledge that will help you navigate the day to day around policies and governance in this space.
- Background in Disability highly desirable
- Knowledge of the NDIS framework is an advantage
- Previous office management experience
- Strong people skills
- Ability to develop knowledge and expertise in working with people with disabilities and their nominee’s.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating your ability to plan, prioritise and organise your workload.
- Strong Computer skills – Data entry, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet etc).
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Certificate IV or above in disability support or similar preferred
